Enrolling in school
Compulsory education starts during the year when the child turns seven years old.
School starts in the autumn, and a child must be enrolled in school in January during the year the child will start school.
It is possible to apply for an exemption that allows the child to start their schooling one year earlier or later. A statement from the doctor or a school psychologist must be attached to the application.
